NEBULAE-2010

.
Just a fortnight before  puja holidays ,it was declared dat Nebulae should be finished within a week.Such a short time for preparation & a mountain-load task. This  time the function had a special significance for me .The manner in which  it was conducted ...what can i say ??..Hats off to the people who were indulged whole heatedly in making things organised.More important is the fact that it was done in a very "reluctant& passive "circumstances,I  mean about 1/3rd of the 2nd year strength were totally involved in getting things done.Even I was also not in favor of NEBULAE being conducted before vacations, just like many others. There was also a heavy rain in between the function...but somehow the almighty favored our choices,we never let our spirits dampen thereafter. So as soon as the rain went away, the programme reached its peak.
Talking about performances, well what can i say??The freshers were just too good in their performances.I think the freshers virtually ragged all of  "2nd year students"by displaying the range & depth of talent they had in them.So it made all of us to think "what we all gonna do now?".The comic play of "modern ramayana"..simply got into my nerves.I couldn't help myself stand straight & behave like a gentleman watching dem.The hybrid ""sita" was simply out of my mind.M.tech didi singing on the tunes of a song from "1942 a love story" was something dat  only a playback singer can do.It was not only soothing to ears but was a treat to listen again & again. It was just near perfect. There were lots of dance performance  too...almost all of them were good. That evening I enjoyed most by being an audience than a performer to the whole programme. The function was followed by a good dinner & some "dhinchak DJ".This time people danced with lots of heart ,not feeling shy as was in last year, socializing, interacting with each other with lots of ease. When I went to bed that day,1 thing was very clear .That night of nebulae taught every one of us quite a  lesson & also gave all of us a quiet message-"No matter how the circumstances are,No matter what the people around tell u,just do Ur duty man ....No one's gonna stop u,the results will follow very soon".& I think a lot of credit goes to sritam for making last-minute adjustments.Man!! This guy has got some really good organizing capabilities. The day before the function He along with
pansenjit did all ground work for the stage-setup ,whole night long without even bothering about food or sleep. They never got any  kind of   appreciation for that, but still they did their job single-minded!!  That is something we all need to see & learn. On the other Sneha took up the charge of the cultural team & all the events that were going to take place on the fine evening.
.She took up the responsibility quite well &I could see her going up & down, from dis block to another just to make sure everything is alright. There were many people also who were either directly ,indirectly involved..I also thank them.& lastly as always the interaction session headed by "lucky & anubhav"was entertaining. There is nothing sort of"good job,bad job,it hurts my ego-job"in a group activity. The prime objective should be successful completion of the desired project.Even if prasenjit's labour went unnoticed, without his valuable time(however how big or small  it may be ),I know the show would have been incomplete.I thank him personally for that.We are also gonna stage some tech-fests ,cultural fests in the near future.Without a sense of uniformity, oneness & a zeal to do something for your own, your friends & your college-it would be impossible to think of any.But I don't want to sound too pessimistic. One good thing that our college has than any other college in our city is its optimum students intake& residential nature. There are lots of college in the city where about 2000-3000 people get admission into a single batch. So what happens then?People even after passing out from the institution ,don't know who their batch mates are. There is a lot of "social insecurity"for people studying in such organizations. Its obvious that as a youth we would always like to be identified, recognized by our group members, colleagues& peers. Our college gets a head-stand on this scenario. With just 240 people per batch, approximately everyone knows everyone else!!So what if u have a "social security".Well that depends on individuals. But in my opinion ,I guess it results into growth of a confident, dynamic youth community. This is a blessing in disguise & we must realise it as soon as possible
